Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken: The Chronicles of Elia Martell
Okay, just. Wow. I loved this fic so much, and the title pretty much says it all. The author did a wonderful job of fleshing Elia out and giving her a voice, as well as writing her relationship with Rhaegar and it makes their inevitable tragedy all the more heartbreaking.

The Stranger’s Road
A matriarchal!AU of the events of Robert’s Rebellion, which in this case is Lyanna Stark’s Rebellion against the Mad Queen Rhaella. My only complaint is that it’s a bit short — apparently, there was meant to be a second part, although that said, this ties up neatly enough to read it without a second part.

Kindle Fire With Snow
I haven’t read this yet, beyond the first chapter, because I am still in the process of reading ADWD and don’t want any spoilers if I can avoid them. It’s Arya-centric, though, and looks pretty decent, so it gets included. Plus this is more like a reading list for myself than a rec for other people, so I want to keep the link safe ;)

“Sasuke-nii-san!” — AU in which Sasuke is the older brother, and Itachi is on Team 7

[x] — a couple of difference responses to the prompt, “What if a different sannin had trained each member of Team 7?” Gen for the most part

Vicodin no Jutsu — a decently written and rather well thought out crossover (ish) fic in which House and his team are medical jounin treating a mysterious patient with a strange ailment, as per usual.

Catch 22 — “Sakura isn’t weak because she lacks strength. She is weak because they protect her.” Sakura-centric fic which I have yet to read, but which looks promising.

okay but imagine Merlin through the centuries, waiting for Arthur to return, and every now and again something will be invented or made that Merlin thinks Arthur would have loved or gotten a kick out of, so he gets one and keeps it. And there’s just this growing pile of things from all across the world and all through time, from copies of the Bible with hilarious misprintings to collections of stories about Camelot that are wildly inaccurate, to VCR copies of Star Wars and books of poetry that Merlin knows Arthur will lob at his head when he finally returns.

THIS. I am seriously waiting for somebody to actually call her out on it other than Derek (Who everyone seems to ignore even when his point is justified) but instead they have Scott still trying not to hurt her feelings by telling her the truth about her mother.

I get that she’s been through a lot but she’s pretty much an adult and if you don’t tell her things then she can only continue to make decisions that could hurt people again.

I’d love to see her bake an apology cake.

Look, I love Allison as much as the next person, but her actions at the end of season 2 were horrifying and I can’t believe people, idk, don’t think she needs to atone for what she did? Her anger towards Derek is justified, at least from her emotional POV, because she sees him as the reason her mother’s dead — I understand her wanting to kill him, and even though I don’t AGREE with her wanting/trying to kill Derek, it was… idk. It was more reasonable/justifiable than her attempted murder of Erica and Boyd and her torture of the latter, not to mention stabbing Isaac.

so yeah I’m fucking fine with a redemption arc or at least a remorse/apology arc because fucking christ, what she did was horrible.
